If you’ve ever wondered about the large, cream brick building at 2450 W. North Ave., come check it out as we celebrate the completion of our Bucyrus Campus. On Friday, June 7, from 1 to 3 p.m., you’ll be able to tour the campus, including the new indoor aquatic center, outdoor Indaba Band Shell, Overnight Respite Center, Dementia Care Wing with life skill stations, Multi-Fiber Arts Room, Beauty Salon, Outdoor Walking Paths & more.

The Bucyrus Campus celebrated its initial phase of construction — opening intergenerational care for babies and young children, adults with disabilities, frail seniors, and people with dementia — in late 2015, expanding the pioneering concept the Stein Campus had provided on the south side for more than 20 years. Our intergenerational center’s day services help keep people at home with their loved ones and out of institutionalized care as long as possible.

Since 2015, the Bucyrus Campus has also added a community health care clinic as well the only dental clinic in the state designed specifically for people with disabilities that keep them from dental care in standard practices.

Now we’re ready to celebrate the completion of this transformational community project with free entertainment, guided tours, information and fun! Stop by, and see how we’ve been growing.
