Ads to Host Tech Night Out Sept. 26

First 750 Fans (21 & Older) Receive Dice Cup, courtesy of Experience Milwaukee

Milwaukee, WI— The Milwaukee Admirals will open the 2026-27 preseason with Tech Night Out, a celebration of the people building Milwaukee’s technology economy, when the Ads host the Rockford IceHogs on Saturday, September 26 at 6 p.m. at Panther Arena.

Tickets are $15, and the first 750 fans 21 years and older will receive a bar dice cup courtesy of Experience Milwaukee, a nod to a Milwaukee tavern tradition that has settled who buys the next round for generations. Tickets are available at milwaukeeadmirals.com or by clicking here.

Tech Night Out is presented in partnership with Experience Milwaukee, Milky Way Tech Hub and the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition, and invites the region’s technologists, founders, students and tech-curious fans to take over Panther Arena for a night. Especially as this leads directly into Wisconsin Tech Month which begins in October.

Milwaukee’s tech hub leaders will also be putting themselves on the ice, too. Nadiyah Johnson, CEO of Milky Way Tech Hub, will ride the Zamboni during an intermission. Joe Poeschl, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition, will be rocketed down the ice in the Kwik Trip Human Hockey Puck during another intermission.

“The dice cup is the most Milwaukee giveaway we could think of, and this felt like the right crowd to hand it to,” said John Bitter, VP of Ticket Sales for the Milwaukee Admirals. “Working with Steve Glynn and Experience Milwaukee, we started with a cup and ended up with a night that brings an industry into the building. If you have never been to an Admirals game, this is the one to start with!”

“This is really about bringing Milwaukee’s tech community together, having a good time, and connecting outside of our usual spaces,” said Nadiyah Johnson, CEO of Milky Way Tech Hub. “Can’t think of a better way to start building energy as we gear up for Wisconsin Tech Month in October.”

“Our community spends a lot of time in conference rooms, so we are trading them for a hockey rink,” said Joe Poeschl, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Tech Hub Coalition. “As an incentive, I will be the human hockey puck! Come watch, then stay and meet somebody new. That’s how this ecosystem has always grown.”

The Admirals will also play at Rockford on Monday, September 28 before opening the regular season on Saturday, October 3 in Rockford. The Ads’ home opener is Saturday, October 10 at 6 p.m. against the Grand Rapids Griffins.
