David Crowley Expanded Program to Allow Inmates to Possess Tablets; a Triple Murderer Used One to Threaten Witnesses
MADISON, WI – No one would’ve ever mistaken Democrat David Crowley for being tough on crime, but now Wisconsinites are finding out the disturbing extent to which he put criminals before law-abiding citizens.
It’s now been revealed that Milwaukee County jails under Crowley’s management have allowed inmates to possess tablets that allow them to communicate with the outside world. One inmate was revealed to have been a triple killer who used his device to send threats to witnesses. Other inmates reportedly attempted to contact domestic abuse victims and even access child pornography. Milwaukee County Judge David Borowski ripped this practice last week, calling the decision “preposterous.”
Most disturbingly, Crowley “not only approved of Milwaukee County’s free tablet program for inmates but also expanded it, which allowed violent criminals and domestic abusers to have access to tablets while in prison.” When confronted with this news, Crowley’s office claimed that they would “identify any vulnerabilities in these safeguards and put solutions in place.” Those vulnerabilities seem readily apparent to everyone else, including Judge Borowski, but for some reason, Crowley needs to identify them.
Crowley apparently thinks protecting violent criminals’ privileges is more important than keeping the people of Milwaukee County safe from dangerous offenders. If he can’t (or won’t) keep his constituents safe, he doesn’t deserve a promotion.
