Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Taylor Jenkins Finalizes Coaching Staff for 2026-27 Season
MILWAUKEE (Aug. 7, 2026) – Milwaukee Bucks Head Coach Taylor Jenkins has finalized his coaching staff for the 2026-27 season, with Darvin Ham returning as an assistant coach and Pat St. Andrews, Vince Legarza, Brad Jones, Johnny Carpenter, T.J. Ford and Schuyler Rimmer joining the Bucks as assistant coaches. Jack Herum will return in an assistant coach/player development role, while Isaiah Wilkins and Nshan Kenjoian have been appointed assistant coach/player development and head video coordinator, respectively.
Ham returns for his third consecutive season as an assistant coach and seventh overall season with the Bucks after previously serving as the team’s lead assistant coach for four seasons from 2018-22 and being a part of the coaching staff that won the 2021 NBA Championship. Ham rejoined the Bucks in 2024 following two seasons as the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, where he posted a 90-74 (.549) regular season record while leading the team to the playoffs both seasons, including a trip to the Western Conference Finals in 2023.
Ham’s NBA coaching experience also includes stints as an assistant coach with the Atlanta Hawks (2013-18) and Lakers (2011-13). He’s made the playoffs in 13 of his 15 seasons as an assistant and head coach in the NBA while recording four Conference Finals appearances.
A product of Texas Tech, Ham played eight NBA seasons and appeared in 417 career games with Denver, Indiana, Washington, Atlanta, Milwaukee and Detroit, where the Michigan native won the 2004 NBA Championship with the Pistons. He moved to the sidelines to begin his coaching career in 2008 as an assistant coach with the New Mexico Thunderbirds of the NBA Development League before taking over as general manager and head coach of the Thunderbirds in 2010.
St. Andrews rejoins the Bucks after serving as an assistant coach with the team for five seasons from 2018-23 and winning the 2021 NBA Championship as a member of Milwaukee’s coaching staff. Following his first stint with the Bucks, he worked as an assistant coach on Jenkins’ staff with the Memphis Grizzlies from 2023-25 before most recently joining the Portland Trail Blazers as an assistant coach for the 2025-26 campaign.
The Pennsylvania native landed his first NBA assistant coaching position in 2017 with Atlanta after initially working with the Hawks organization as a seasonal assistant in 2013 and earning promotions to assistant video coordinator in 2014 and head video coordinator in 2016. He also served as an assistant coach with the Dominican Republic National Team at the 2015 FIBA Americas Championship and as the head coach for the Bucks Las Vegas Summer League teams in 2021 and 2026.
Entering his seventh season as an NBA assistant coach, Legarza comes back to Milwaukee for his second season with the Bucks. Legarza previously served as an assistant coach for the Bucks during the 2022-23 campaign, where he was part of the coaching staff that led the Bucks to a league-best 58-24 (.707) record, before most recently spending the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach with the Phoenix Suns.
Prior to joining the Bucks, Legarza spent four seasons as an assistant coach with the Utah Jazz from 2018-22 and three seasons with the Minnesota Timberwolves as a player development assistant and player development video coordinator from 2015-18. The San Francisco native got his NBA start in 2013 with Atlanta, where he served for two seasons in the Basketball Operations and Player Development departments. A graduate of Miami University (OH), Legarza played on the men’s basketball team for four seasons, including three as team captain, from 2009-13.
Jones arrives in Milwaukee with more than 30 years of coaching experience at the NBA, NBA G League and college levels. He most recently spent six seasons with the Grizzlies organization from 2018-24, serving as an assistant coach on Jenkins’ staff from 2019-24, including two seasons as the lead assistant coach, and the head coach of the team’s G League affiliate-Memphis Hustle for the 2018-19 campaign. He joined the Grizzlies organization after spending one season as the general manager of the Iowa Wolves, the Timberwolves’ G League affiliate, and pro scout for Minnesota from 2017-18 and four seasons as an assistant player development coach (2012-14) and lead assistant coach (2014-16) with Utah.
Jones moved to the NBA in 2012 following five seasons in the G League, where he served as the head coach of the Utah Flash (2007-10) and Austin Toros (2010-12). He posted a combined 148-118 (.556) record as a G League head coach while leading the Flash to the 2009 NBA G League Finals and winning the 2012 NBA G League Championship with the Toros. He originally started his coaching career at Lambuth University, his alma mater, serving as the team’s head coach from 1996-2001 and earning two Mid-South Coach of the Year awards.
Carpenter begins his first season with the Bucks and third season as an assistant coach in the NBA after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers. He joined the Pacers following one season with the Grizzlies (2024-25) as a player development/assistant coach. Prior to his time in Memphis, Carpenter spent nine seasons on the men’s basketball coaching staff at Virginia, his alma mater, where he worked as an assistant coach, director of player personnel and basketball technology assistant. The Virginia native also served as a team manager for the Virginia men’s basketball team (2010-13) and graduate assistant coach for the Virginia women’s basketball team (2013-14) before being hired as an assistant video coordinator for the Dallas Mavericks during the 2014-15 campaign.
Ford joins Jenkins’ staff for his first season as an NBA assistant coach, marking his first role in the NBA since his retirement as a player in 2012. Originally selected by the Bucks with the 8th overall pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, Ford played in 429 NBA games across eight career seasons with Milwaukee, Toronto, Indiana and San Antonio. Over two seasons with the Bucks from 2003-05, Ford averaged 10.0 points, 6.5 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game in 127 appearances. Upon his retirement, the Houston, Texas, native worked as a volunteer assistant coach alongside Jenkins for the 2012-13 Toros before shifting to coach youth, high school and AAU basketball in Texas. The Texas product has also served as a television analyst for Longhorn Network and the San Antonio Spurs (2024-26).
Rimmer returns to the Bucks after previously spending four seasons with the organization from 2018-22, where he served as an assistant video coordinator and player development assistant, including during the team’s 2021 NBA Championship. Following his stint with the Bucks, Rimmer landed his first NBA assistant coach position on Ham’s staff with the Lakers from 2022-24 before joining the Suns as an assistant coach during the 2024-25 campaign. He most recently spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach for the G League’s Maine Celtics. A native of Florida, Rimmer played four collegiate seasons at Stanford (2013-15) and Florida (2015-17) before moving to the NBA to become an assistant video coordinator with Atlanta.
Herum enters his eighth season with the Bucks organization and third in an assistant coach/player development role. After starting as a player development coach with the Wisconsin Herd in the G League in 2019, Herum was called up to the Bucks ahead of the 2020-21 season to become a player development and video assistant and has since been promoted to player development coordinator and assistant coach/head of player development. Prior to joining the Bucks, Herum spent one season as an assistant coach at IMG Academy in Florida in 2018-19 and two seasons as a graduate assistant for the University of Minnesota-Duluth men’s basketball team from 2016-18. A native of River Falls, Wisconsin, Herum played three collegiate seasons at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater and two seasons at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, where he graduated in 2016.
Following five seasons as an assistant coach at the college level, Wilkins begins his first NBA season in an assistant coach/player development role on Jenkins’ staff. He most recently spent the 2025-26 season as an assistant coach for the University of California, Berkeley, men’s basketball team after four seasons as a graduate assistant and assistant coach at Virginia, his alma mater, from 2021-25. Wilkins originally played four seasons at Virginia from 2014-18, where he helped the Cavaliers win the 2018 ACC Tournament, record two ACC regular-season titles and make four NCAA Tournament appearances. He began playing professionally in 2018-19 with the G League’s Greensboro Swarm and continued internationally in New Zealand, Poland and Germany from 2018-21.
Kenjoian becomes Milwaukee’s head video coordinator after spending the 2025-26 campaign as a first-time assistant coach for the G League’s Rip City Remix. Prior to joining the Remix, he served in his first NBA role during the 2024-25 season as head video coordinator/player development on Jenkins’ staff in Memphis. A native of Encino, California, Kenjoian also worked as a video coordinator for the Lakeland Magic in the G League from 2022-24.
