Crowley Campaign: Debate Confirms David Crowley Is the Democrat Ready to Win in August and November

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Tonight’s debate reinforced what Wisconsin Democrats increasingly recognize: executive experience and results matter in this race. David Crowley has both, making him the candidate best prepared to defeat Tom Tiffany this fall.

Throughout the debate, Crowley demonstrated the steady leadership that comes from actually governing in the real world, not just talking about governing. As Milwaukee County Executive, he has made difficult decisions, delivered meaningful results, and built consensus while leading Wisconsin’s largest and most diverse county through extraordinary challenges.

“Tonight was about showing Wisconsin what’s possible when you combine progressive values with the ability to actually get things done,” said David Crowley. “I’m the only person on that debate stage with experience governing and delivering for the people of Wisconsin. It’s hard to deny the six years of results I’ve delivered not just for Milwaukee County but for communities throughout Wisconsin.”

Crowley’s momentum continues to grow both inside and outside the campaign.

Recent polling has shown him climbing into contention as Democratic voters continue to consolidate behind his candidacy. His campaign recently announced raising more than $775,000 since re-entering the race, demonstrating unmatched enthusiasm and consolidation. That financial strength has been accompanied by a growing coalition of support, including by Gov. Tony Evers, Waukesha Mayor Alicia Halvensleben, Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride, Sheboygan Mayor Ryan Sorenson, the Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council, the IBEW Wisconsin State Conference, and leaders and organizations across the state who all recognize that Crowley is the Democrat best positioned to compete statewide.
