MILWAUKEE – Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) announced today a $10,000 contribution to Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, providing critical support for tornado recovery efforts in Menasha and surrounding communities. The gift allows Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin to respond quickly as community needs continue to emerge, ensuring resources are available not only in the immediate aftermath of the storm, but throughout the recovery process as families rebuild their lives.

“We are proud to partner with and support Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in their amazing efforts to help families in Menasha and surrounding communities, said Brewers Community Foundation Executive Director Cecelia Gore. “When our neighbors are facing hardship, especially in the wake of a natural disaster like this, it’s important for us to step up and help however we can.”

In the immediate aftermath of the July 27 tornado, Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin mobilized emergency relief efforts to support neighbors impacted across Menasha and surrounding communities. Working alongside local partners and with the support of the City of Menasha, the organization established food distribution sites in affected neighborhoods, while teams of staff also went directly into impacted areas – setting up in parks, walking neighborhoods door-to-door, and utilizing mobile distribution vehicles to ensure food and essential resources reached as many families as possible.

“When disaster strikes, the effects extend far beyond the initial storm. Families suddenly find themselves making incredibly difficult decisions while trying to recover, and access to food should never be one of those concerns,” said Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin President and CEO Monique Kelley. “We are deeply grateful to Brewers Community Foundation for standing with our neighbors in Northeast Wisconsin during this critical time. Their generosity will help ensure we can continue responding to immediate needs while supporting families throughout the recovery process.”

BCF’s contribution will help Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin continue to provide emergency food relief and support services to families throughout the affected region as recovery efforts progress.

Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin’s Tornado Relief Fund remains open to help meet the immediate and ongoing food needs of individuals and families impacted by the tornado, providing flexibility to respond to evolving needs in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
