MILWAUKEE, WI, July 29, 2026 — The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee School of Continuing Education (UWM SCE) is proud to introduce the Applied Agile Professional Microcredential, a new professional development pathway developed with support from the HERA Micorcredential Grant. The four-course microcredential provides a practical, multi-framework foundation in Agile approaches, helping professionals lead projects, guide teams, respond to change and deliver value across a variety of work environments.

“Professionals are being asked to manage change, collaborate across teams and deliver results more effectively than ever,” said Gyulsina Baisova, program manager for Project Management and Agile. “We created this microcredential to give learners practical experience with Agile approaches they can begin applying immediately — not only to projects, but also to the everyday challenges their teams and organizations face.”

The microcredential includes the following courses:

  • Agile Project & Product Management
  • Agile-Scrum Essentials
  • Agile in Practice for Today’s Teams
  • Master the Agile Mindset: PMI-ACP Exam Prep Bootcamp

Building Skills Employers Want

Through these four courses, participants learn how to:

  • Apply Agile principles and values in complex and rapidly changing environments.
  • Select and adapt Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban and scaled Agile approaches.
  • Plan, prioritize and deliver work using Agile tools, feedback loops and iterative processes.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Support continuous improvement and organizational agility.

Whether pursuing a new career path or advancing within a current role, participants who complete the program gain practical skills that can strengthen their professional credibility and prepare them for new responsibilities. Upon completion of the microcredential, learners will earn a digital badge they can use on LinkedIn to showcase their learning.

All four courses will be offered live online this fall, giving participants the opportunity to earn the full microcredential in just three months. The first course – Agile Project and Product Management – starts Sept 9, 2026. Learn more about the Applied Agile Professional Microcredential today!
