IBEW Wisconsin State Conference Endorses David Crowley
Continues momentum following endorsements from Gov. Evers, Laborers, Fire Fighters, mayors, polling surge, and new ad
MILWAUKEE – The IBEW Wisconsin State Conference today endorsed Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley for Governor of Wisconsin. The IBEW in Wisconsin represents over 21,600 active and retired members across Wisconsin.
“On behalf of 21,600 active and retired Wisconsin IBEW members, we are proud to announce our support for David Crowley,” said Jesse Jacques, IBEW State Conference President. “As the son of an IBEW electrician, David knows first-hand the importance of collectively bargained, family supporting union wages and benefits, and their immense impact on families, communities, and our state. David has been a champion for working families in the State Assembly, as Milwaukee County Executive, and we know he will continue to fight for all of us on day one as our next Governor.”
The IBEW endorsement adds to the growing momentum behind Crowley’s campaign following endorsements from Gov. Tony Evers, The Wisconsin Laborers’ District Council, the Professional Fire Fighters of Wisconsin, and mayors from across the state. Yesterday, the campaign released new polling showing Crowley surging; and announced a new statewide ad campaign.
“I grew up in a union household. My father was a master electrician, and I saw firsthand how a union job means enough money to support a family and have a safe workplace,” said Crowley. “The IBEW powers Wisconsin, and as Governor I will make sure the people who build this state can earn a good living doing it. That means restoring prevailing wage, bringing back project labor agreements, repealing right to work for less, and expanding apprenticeships.”
