85th Anniversary of Pearl Harbor: A major milestone honoring the attack that drew the United States into World War II. December 7 marks the 85th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, a pivotal moment in world history. On this day in 1941, the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, was struck in a surprise attack that resulted in the loss of more than 2,400 American lives and propelled the United States into World War II.
85th Anniversary of the Original Military Willys Jeep (1941–2026)
Celebrating the vehicle that helped win World War II. The year 2026 marks the 85th anniversary of one of the most iconic vehicles in American and world history—the original Willys MB military Jeep, first produced in 1941. Developed in response to the U.S. Army’s urgent need for a lightweight, all terrain reconnaissance vehicle, the Willys MB quickly became a symbol of American ingenuity, mobility, and resilience during World War II.
Celebrating Americas 250th Anniversary. The year 2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States of America—a major national milestone known as the Semiquincentennial. While the anniversary celebrates the birth of the nation in 1776, it also invites reflection on the many moments when Americans fought to defend the ideals of liberty, democracy, and self-government. One of the most significant of these moments was World War II.
