Assembly District 52 Receives Non-State Grant Awards Totaling Nearly $5 Million

MADISON, WI – The State Building Commission has selected the recipients for the Non-State Grant program for 2025-2027. The 52nd Assembly District, represented by State Representative Lee Snodgrass, received the highest award amount of any district represented by a Democrat, totaling nearly $5 million dollars of state investment in four separate projects benefitting the community. Eligible grant recipients must support local, non-profit, and public infrastructure building projects, have at least 50% non-state funding secured and be shovel-ready, and serve a public purpose.

The projects approved include: First 5 Fox Valley, Inc awarded $2 million for their Together for Families Resource Center, Fox Cities Sports Development, Inc. awarded $800,000 for the court expansion of the Community First Champion Center, Mooring Programs Inc. DBA Apricity awarded $2 million for their capital project to expand access to residential treatment for individuals with substance use disorder in Northwest Wisconsin, and the Building for Kids Children’s Museum awarded $137,023 for their strategic expansion project.

Representative Lee Snodgrass (D-Appleton) released the following statement:

“I was honored to enthusiastically advocate for all of these deserving district projects, helping to make these awards possible. From supporting families and kids to athletic opportunities and support for those struggling with substance use disorder, each project will support success for community members and enrich the lives of our neighbors. The quality of the applications and efforts of the grant recipients is evident as this historic sum of state investment is directed to the 52nd Assembly District.”
