NEW YORK — Ty Ambush, Ethan Salvia, and Colin Maloney shined in Marquette’s overtime win against Providence, each earning BIG EAST weekly honors. It marks the second consecutive week, and the third time this season, that three Golden Eagles have been recognized in the same week.

The BIG EAST announced Ambush as the BIG EAST Specialist of the Week Monday afternoon. Against Providence on Saturday, Ambush dominated faceoffs and played a crucial role in the Golden Eagles’ comeback from a 12–8 fourth-quarter deficit. The Hagerstown, Maryland, native won a career-high 14-of-18 faceoffs (77.8%) while collecting a season-high seven ground balls in Marquette’s 14–13 overtime victory.

Salvia was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the first time in his career following his performance against the Friars. Salvia took over the game, scoring two goals in the fourth quarter before netting the game-winner in overtime. Saturday marked a career day for Salvia, as he posted a career-high six points, recorded his first career hat trick, and added a career-high three assists.

Joining Salvia on the Weekly Honor Roll is Colin Maloney. This marks the first weekly honor of Maloney’s career after anchoring the Golden Eagles’ defense. He posted a game-high and career-high eight ground balls while adding a caused turnover. Maloney was instrumental in securing possessions throughout the contest, especially during the Golden Eagles’ late-game comeback. He also contributed offensively with his first collegiate point on an assist.
