“My constituents are concerned about ICE’s increasingly cruel tactics directed at too many communities around the country, including our neighbors in Minnesota. I echo their concerns, which is why I voted ‘No’ on a full year DHS funding bill last month, and this legislation to keep funding DHS through February 13, 2026, without any meaningful reforms.
DHS is rogue and needs meaningful change, and unfortunately, simply maintaining the status quo will not meet the moment or respond to the cries from our communities.
I will continue to push for legislation that actually helps make our communities safer and bring real accountability and reforms to DHS.”
