Marquette Earns Big East Honors
BIG EAST Women’s Singles Player of the Week
Elise Barnstedt, Fr., Marquette (Mainz, Germany)
Barnstedt picked up her first collegiate victory at No. 1 singles with a straight set (6-4, 7-6) win at Western Illinois University. Her success helped Marquette to their first dual victory of the season, a 4-2 defeat of the Leathernecks.

Barnstedt and Davis helped the Golden Eagles secure the doubles point at Western Illinois with a 6-0 win over Richardlyne Francois and Nour Gueblaoui at No. 1 doubles.
