Don Toliver is an award-winning, top-charting Houston-bred artist who delves in and out of genres to build all-engulfing worlds that are incomparable to any other. Whether soundtracking films, collaborating with peers like Travis Scott and Justin Bieber, or offering narrative-driven projects like Heaven or Hell [2020], Life of a DON [2021], Love Sick [2023], and Hardstone Psycho [2024], Don is a force in a lane all his own between hip-hop and cinematic R&B.
Now, he’s back with OCTANE. Toliver’s fifth studio album is an explorative, grounding project that takes the listener on a full speed ride to the present, urging the listener to be present and enjoy life. Tracks like “Tiramisu” and “Sweet Home” set the tone for the journey and make you want to listen all over again, while others like “Callback” and “ATM” exhibit the artist’s solo production skills. “It’s not in the future, it’s not in the past, it’s right now. Come along for the latest soundtrack to the adventure of life, which is ultimately a long drive to a beautiful destination.”
