World Landmarks Take Shape at Mitchell Park Domes’ “Modern Wonders in the Dome” Train Show
Milwaukee, WI – Embark on a world tour like no other as the Domes Train Show: “Modern Wonders in the Dome” arrives at the Mitchell Park Domes from January 17 through March 22, 2026.
“This year’s train show invites visitors to explore the world from a whole new perspective,” said Doris Maki, Horticultural Director of the Mitchell Park Domes. “By blending iconic global destinations with living plant displays and hundreds of feet of train tracks, we’re creating an experience that inspires curiosity, wonder, and discovery for visitors of all ages.”

- Monday – Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Saturday, Sunday, and Major Holidays: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

- Adult: $9.00
- Junior (3–12), Senior (60+), Student, Military: $6.50
- Children (2 & under): Free
- Non-Residents:
- Adult, Senior (60+): $10.00

Special Discount: Enjoy $5 admission for all on the last Thursday of every month as part of Milwaukee County’s discount days.
Special Events (included in regular admission price):
- All Scale Train Show Exhibit: on January 31 and February 1, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This weekend event features a wide array of exhibits and unique train layouts displaying all types and sizes of collectible model trains. It’s a must-see for train enthusiasts and families alike and is included with regular admission, taking place at the Domes and Greenhouse 7.
- Winter Silhouettes Bonsai Display: February 22, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Included with Domes admission. Presented by the Milwaukee Bonsai Society.
- Steampunk Faire: March 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Celebrate an alternate past at this gadget-filled garden party with a sci-fi twist! Gardens & Gears features creative artists and makers of objects inspired by technology, metal, and the Victorian era. The faire is included with regular admission.
- Join us for Free Sticker Wednesday every week and collect exclusive, limited-edition stickers, available while supplies last.
Note: Last admission is one hour before closing. Tickets are available at the Mitchell Park Domes fee booth and include access to all three Domes. Tickets are available in person only and cannot be purchased online.
