Let’s help catch hit-and-run driver who severely injured a 30-year-old woman on Forest Home near Lincoln

On December 30, 2025 at approximately 10:30 p.m., a driver hit and severely injured Yamaris Santiago, 30, as she was walking back to her vehicle after ordering food from a truck near Forest Home and Lincoln. The driver was speeding and just took off after striking Yamaris.

Yamaris, the mother of a four-year-old son, is in the hospital and has had at least one surgery to address a broken pelvis. She faces weeks of hospitalization, possible additional surgery and treatment, and a very long road to recovery.

This reckless and criminal act by the driver is not acceptable, and Milwaukee Police are asking for the public’s help to find the driver and the vehicle. El 30 de diciembre del 2025, aproximadamente a las 10:30 de la noche, un conductor atropelló e hirió gravemente a Yamaris Santiago de 30 años, cuando regresaba a su vehículo después de ordenar su comida en un camión cerca de la Forest Home y la Lincoln. El conductor iba a exceso de velocidad y se dio a la fuga después de atropellar a Yamaris.

Yamaris, madre de un niño de cuatro años; se encuentra hospitalizada y ha sido operada por lo menos una vez para tratar la fractura de pelvis. Ella enfrenta semanas de hospitalización, posible cirugía y tratamiento adicionales, así como un camino muy largo hacia la recuperación.

Este acto irresponsable y criminal por parte del conductor no es aceptable, y la Policía de Milwaukee solicita la ayuda del público para encontrar al conductor y al vehículo.
