MILWAUKEE, WI – On Thursday, January 8, 2026, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal charges against Benjamin Friedl in connection with a burglary that occurred at Turner Hall on December 17, 2025.

Friedl was charged with one count of Burglary of a Building or Dwelling. If convicted, he could face 12 years, 6 months in prison and fined up to $25,000.

The attached criminal complaint reflects how the Turner’s internal, external audio and visual surveillance system greatly assisted the Milwaukee Police Department (MPD) in the swift apprehension of the suspect in this case.

MPD wishes to use this as an opportunity to remind the public about our public safety initiative, Community Connect Milwaukee that allows businesses and residents to register their security cameras to help solve neighborhood crimes.
