Community Invited to Attend Tippecanoe Anniversary Celebration Saturday

Alderman Scott Spiker is inviting members of the community to attend the Tippe Tenth (and 56th) Anniversary Celebration in recognition of the 10-year anniversary of Tippecanoe’s remodeling, and the 56th anniversary of the opening of the building. The event will take place on Saturday, December 6 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Tippecanoe Library, 3912 S. Howell Ave.

The celebration will include a historical display of photographs and memorabilia from the history of the branch, historic book, music and movie recommendations from 1969 and 2015, a craft activity for kids and adults, music selections from 1969 and 2015 playing in the community room, and a birthday cake. The event is free and open to the public.

“The Tippecanoe Library is a beautiful public space in the heart of the 13th District, and this anniversary celebration is the perfect chance for community members to reacquaint themselves with the library and all it has to offer,” said Alderman Spiker.
