Supervisor Logsdon Announces Upcoming Meetings Between Hales Corners, Parks Department on Future of Hales Corners Pool
MILWAUKEE – Supervisor Patti Logsdon announced today that the Village of Hales Corners and the Milwaukee County Parks Department will meet later this month to discuss next steps for the Hales Corners Pool following the release of a facilities assessment presented in the Parks & Culture Committee.
Supervisor Logsdon emphasized the importance of exploring every viable path to preserve community access to local aquatics, including the possibility of the Village leasing and operating the entire park.
Parks staff committed to providing Supervisor Logsdon with additional, more specific cost details before the end of the month during the meeting, information she says will be essential as the Village and County evaluate options for sustaining aquatics in the area. According to Logsdon:
“Residents in my district care deeply about the future of the Hales Corners Pool, and I am committed to ensuring they have a seat at the table as decisions are made,” said Supervisor Logsdon. “I appreciate Parks’ commitment to providing more complete information, and I look forward to productive discussions with the Village later this month.”
The forthcoming meeting between the Village of Hales Corners and Milwaukee County Parks will focus on partnership models, operational possibilities, and long-term solutions identified in the Milwaukee County Parks Aquatics Study, which recommended exploring a public-private partnership to sustain the pool.
