Congressman Fitzgerald Statement on the Passing of His Father, Longtime Wisconsin Law Enforcement Official Stephen Fitzgerald

OCONOMOWOC, WI – Congressman Scott Fitzgerald (WI-05) issued the following statement after the passing of his father, Stephen Fitzgerald:

“My father, Stephen Fitzgerald, dedicated fifty years to public service and law enforcement in Wisconsin, serving as Superintendent of the Wisconsin State Patrol, U.S. Marshal for the Western District of Wisconsin, Sheriff of Dodge County, and President of the Badger State Sheriffs’ Association. His integrity, leadership, and commitment to his community set a standard for all who knew him. My brother Jeff and I are grateful for the example he set and take comfort in the lasting legacy he leaves behind.”
