Former Israeli Hostage Moran Stella Yanai To Speak At Milwaukee’s Mega Challah Bake On Nov. 4

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Hundreds of women from across the Milwaukee Jewish community will gather for the annual Mega Challah Bake, hosted by the Jewish Women’s Circle, a division of Lubavitch of Wisconsin. This year’s event will feature Moran Stella Yanai, a former hostage whose remarkable story of faith, resilience, and hope has inspired people around the world.

The evening will blend a hands-on challah braiding and flavor workshop with messages of strength, unity, and empowerment. Participants will learn two new braiding styles, explore creative toppings, and hear Moran’s first hand story of courage and light in the face of unimaginable darkness.

“This year’s event promises to inspire us to reconnect with our purpose, our people, and our power,” shared community member and table sponsor Debbie Gorman. “Because as Moran’s journey so beautifully teaches us, we are never meant to stand alone. The Mega Challah Bake is part of a global movement celebrating Jewish women, tradition, and connection.
