MYSO Students Lead the Way with Free Community Concerts November 1 & 2
The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts
The Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra (MYSO) invites local media and the public to attend its annual Play Your Part concerts—two free community performances on November 1 and 2 at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. These concerts conclude MYSO’s five-week, student-led fundraising campaign, where hundreds of young musicians rally support to keep MYSO’s programs accessible.
This year’s event holds special meaning as part of Violins of Hope–Wisconsin, a historic initiative bringing restored violins played by Jewish musicians during the Holocaust to our state. MYSO’s young performers will take the stage using some of these extraordinary instruments, symbols of resilience, memory, and hope, connecting their music to stories that transcend generations.
