MILWAUKEE (Oct. 14, 2025) – ATC and the Milwaukee Bucks are teaming up for the third consecutive year ahead of the 2025-26 season of NBA Math Hoops.

NBA Math Hoops, powered by ATC, is a fast-paced, basketball-based educational board game and mobile app that follows a 10-16-week curriculum designed to engage fourth through eighth grade students while developing fundamental math skills using the game of basketball. The NBA Math Hoops curriculum uses academic best practices established by the Common Core State Standards and 21st Century Skills.

“ATC is proud to continue its partnership with the Bucks and NBA Math Hoops,” said ATC Corporate Affairs Manager Axel Owen. “It’s a priority for us to invest in the next generation and encourage interest in STEM via programs like Math Hoops. We’ve seen math literacy in Math Hoops participants grow nearly 30% in our first two seasons and we’re glad to support a program that works well for students.”

“NBA Math Hoops gives students the opportunity to develop their math and critical thinking skills through exciting and engaging activities that connect with the game of basketball,” said Bucks Senior Vice President of Corporate Social Responsibility Arvind Gopalratnam. “By teaming up with ATC for a third season, we can continue supporting STEM education in Wisconsin and bringing the Math Hoops curriculum to students across our state.”

NBA Math Hoops has been shown to improve students’ grasp of statistics and enhance their interpersonal skills, helping them to collaborate more effectively with their peers. An understanding of mathematics helps set students up for success in science, technology, engineering and math activities and encourages them to become passionate, self-directed learners.

Educators can register for virtual training sessions to gain free access to the NBA Math Hoops curriculum and program materials and learn best practices for implementing the game. Multiple virtual sessions will be held from Oct. 7-30. Registration is available HERE.

Last season, more than 10,000 Wisconsin students and 203 educators participated in Math Hoops, solving more than 25.8 million math problems. Students who participated last year showed nearly a 30% improvement in their math testing skills from the year before.
