Sturgeon Bay Business Owner Sean Grorich Announces Campaign for Wisconsin State Senate in the 1st District
DE PERE, WI – Today, Sturgeon Bay veteran and business owner Sean Grorich announced his campaign for Wisconsin’s 1st State Senate District. Sean is not a career politician; he is a father, a veteran, and a business owner running to bring active and strong representation to the people of Wisconsin’s 1st District.
Due to Sean Grorich’s commitment to his community and his passion for a better Wisconsin, he has already earned the support of Senate Democratic Leader Dianne Hesselbein:
“It is time for new and better representation for the people of North Eastern Wisconsin and the 1st Senate District. Sean Grorich is that leader. Sean is a dedicated father, a business owner, a veteran, and the type of hardworking Wisconsinite that we want in the State Senate,” said Senator Dianne Hesselbein. “I look forward to doing all I can to ensure he’s elected next November and becomes part of the new, Democratic majority in the State Senate.”

Hello everyone, thank you all for coming out today!
Let me start with this, my name is Sean Grorich and I am running for State Senate!
Wisconsinites across our state are facing rising costs, underfunded schools, and stagnant wages. But instead of addressing these issues, Andre Jacque and his colleagues in Madison have all but closed up shop for the year. We need change, we need active representation, and we need a Senator who will put the needs of our residents first.
Our district is a tourism destination for families across the country. These visitors are our friends, they help our economy thrive, they play a big part in making this area great and I would never want this to change. But those of us that live here full-time, make a life here, raise our families here deserve to have our concerns addressed. But Senator Jacque and his colleagues place special interests and the wealthiest among us over the needs of our families and our neighbors.
We deserve better from our elected leaders and we need more from those in Madison. I’m running to change this status-quo of underdelivering for our community. I’m not a politician. But what I am is a veteran, a business owner, and a father.
Look, I know first hand the struggles we face. I know wages are too low, prices are too high, and it shouldn’t be this hard to make ends meet. But I also know how to get things done, I know what it means to fight for something bigger than yourself, and I know what it takes to have your neighbors back.
If you send me to Madison, I can promise you that I will have your back.
Listen, if the promise of hard work and an uphill battle isn’t as exciting for you as it is for me – I will tell you this, that Republican majority I mentioned, its days are numbered. For the first time in over 10 years Democrats have the opportunity to win a Majority in the State Senate. And if we work together, we will help them do just that.
From now until election day, you will see me working the campaign trail. I’ll be knocking doors, making calls, and doing anything and everything I can to share my vision for the future of the 1st district. It may seem like there is a lot of time until election day 2026 but there is no time to waste, and there is no more worthy cause than creating a stronger Wisconsin for our friends and families. I cannot wait to get out on the trail and talk about how we can make our home better for everyone. I hope you’ll join me.
Thank you.
