Sarah Harrison Names Megan Lach as Campaign Manager for State Senate Bid

By - Sep 8th, 2025 04:50 pm

Today, Democratic candidate Sarah Harrison announced that Waukesha community leader and former State Senate candidate Megan Lach will join Team Harrison as Campaign Manager in the race for Wisconsin’s 5th Senate District. This partnership unites two bold advocates with deep ties to the district and a shared commitment to flipping this critical seat and fighting for working families across Wisconsin.

“Megan is never afraid to speak truth to power,” said Harrison. “She knows State Senate District 5 inside and out, and her bold advocacy is exactly what we need to build a campaign rooted in this community.”

“I’m thrilled to help lead a campaign that’s grounded in community – not ego – and powered by people who are ready to organize and win,” said Lach. “Sarah’s the kind of leader politics is desperate for—strategic, relentless, and unshakably committed to the people she serves. She’s not here to play nice or play games. She’s here to win—and to flip this seat.”

The Harrison campaign is rapidly building grassroots momentum in Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, with supporters already stepping up to host Walk & Talks and turn their neighborhoods into hubs of civic action. Both Harrison and Lach emphasize that this race will be won by neighbors talking to neighbors—and by showing up early and often.

Senate District 5 is expected to be the most competitive race in the state. With Republicans clinging to a narrow majority, flipping this seat could reshape the future of Wisconsin politics.
