MILWAUKEE – Today, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson announced his endorsement of Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley in the Democratic primary for governor of Wisconsin.

Mayor Johnson touted Crowley as the kind of leader willing to build the necessary partnerships to get things done for every community across Wisconsin.

“As County Executive, David Crowley has shown what it means to deliver real results. Together, we fought for historic increases in shared revenue that strengthen not just Milwaukee, but communities large and small all across our state. He knows that when our local governments have the resources we need, we can invest in safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, and better opportunities for our residents. That’s the kind of leadership Wisconsin deserves in its next governor,” said Mayor Cavalier Johnson.

At a moment when families are feeling the effects of chaos in Washington and skyrocketing costs at home, Mayor Johnson highlighted the need for Crowley’s practical, results-driven leadership in Madison.

“Families across Wisconsin need a leader who can deliver results, David has the experience in both the legislature and as an executive to do just that. He knows how to navigate Madison, unite people, and get things done,” Johnson said. “I am proud to endorse David Crowley for governor because he has the leadership and vision to achieve real results for every community in Wisconsin.”
