High-Speed Police Chase in Milwaukee Ends in Tragic Collision, Three Dead

Milwaukee Police were involved in a vehicle pursuit that occurred on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at approximately 9:37 p.m.. MPD officers observed a reckless vehicle in the 3600 block of W. Wright St and attempted to make a stop. The driver refused, and a vehicle pursuit ensued. The pursuit ended at approximately 9:38 pm when the driver of the fleeing vehicle was traveling south on N. 35th Street and struck a car traveling west on W. Vliet Street at the intersection of N 35th St/ W. Vliet. Three adult occupants of the vehicle struck by the fleeing driver sustained fatal injuries. Two additional occupants of the struck vehicle sustained serious injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the fleeing vehicle, a 19-year-old man, was arrested and transported to a hospital for treatment of non-fatal injuries. Two passengers were in the fleeing vehicle, who also sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Criminal charges will be referred to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.
