Rep. Taylor Highlights “Kids First” K-12 Education Package to Strengthen Wisconsin Schools and Support Homeowners
Milwaukee, WI – Today, Representative Sequanna Taylor (D-11) joined state and education leaders to announce the rollout of the “Kids First” K-12 Education package, a comprehensive initiative designed to ensure Wisconsin students have the resources they need while easing the burden on local taxpayers. Representative Taylor released the following statement:
“As an educator of nearly two decades, I went to MPS, my children went to MPS, I worked for MPS, I was on the school board for MPS, I am MPS. When the state provides its fair share of funding, communities are less reliant on local taxpayers to fund basic school operations. This bill is good for our kids, and it’s good for Wisconsin homeowners.
“With the ‘Kids First’ package, we’re not just funding schools, but we’re investing in the future of every Wisconsin child, protecting families’ wallets, and building a state where every student has the opportunity to thrive. This is how we put kids first, and this is how we build a stronger Wisconsin for all.”
The “Kids First” package aims to reverse this trend by providing sustainable funding for students, supporting public schools, and ensuring taxpayers have the transparency they deserve.
