Kal Bergendahl Project and Big Style Brass Band perform on jazz & funk night

By - Jul 18th, 2025 09:47 am

(Milwaukee, Wis.) – The Washington Park Wednesdays summer concert series continues with a high-energy evening on July 23, 2025 at Milwaukee’s historic Washington Park Bandshell (4599 W. Lloyd St., Milwaukee). Activities begin at 5 p.m., with live music starting at 6 p.m. throughout the concert series.

The night brings bold brass and smooth groove to the park with a performance by the Kal Bergendahl Project, which delivers polished, soul-infused jazz funk led by bassist and composer Kal Bergendahl. The ensemble is known for tight arrangements, rich harmonies and uplifting, instrumental storytelling. They’re joined by Big Style Brass Band, a high-octane Milwaukee favorite that channels New Orleans street energy with infectious horns, percussion and party- starting vibes. Together, they promise an unforgettable night of rhythm, soul, and big brass joy.

Local vendors and food trucks will offer a variety of food and beverage options for purchase. Free meals will be available for all hungry children from the Milwaukee Center for Independence.
