Wellpoint Care Network Clinical Supervisor and Trainer to Give Keynote Presentation at National Conference
MILWAUKEE — Wellpoint Care Network, a community-facing human services organization based in Milwaukee, is proud to announce that Clinical Supervisor and Trainer Elizabeth Schuett-Davison will give the keynote presentation at the 2025 National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) virtual conference.
“Being a part of the keynote and presenting to those that are part of the NCTSN organization is a dream,” said Schuett-Davison. “We’re excited to showcase how a bunch of little things can affect big change.”
In 2024, Wellpoint Care Network was one of three sites across the country chosen to participate in a Breakthrough Series Collaborative (BSC) through the NCTSN focused on trauma-informed suicide prevention.
“Since then, we have partnered with Pewaukee School District to work on community-based suicide prevention,” added Schuett-Davison. “We’ve seen some positive outcomes, and the keynote will be about sharing some of those findings with a greater audience who can then hopefully implement some of our proven strategies into their work.”
Schuett-Davison will present alongside Pewaukee High School psychologist Ally Molini and district social worker Michelle Davison.
“I think the biggest takeaway for us is that kids know what they’re not getting and what they need to better support them,” she said. “If you just ask, they will give you really good feedback. We learned that it’s important to listen to students and not just come in and tell them what they need.”
Some examples of this work in action include making mental health resources easily available to students.
The NCTSN virtual conference will take place June 16 and 17 and is invitation only.
