MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have named catcher Marco Dinges as Minor League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher Tyson Hardin as Minor League Pitcher of the Month for April.

Dinges (rhymes with hinges) batted .400/.523/.620 (20-for-50) with 6 doubles, 1 triple, 1 HR, 17 RBI and 10 runs in 15 games for Class-A Carolina in April. He reached base safely in all 15 games and collected multiple hits in 6 contests to help the Mudcats to a Carolina League-best 17-6 (.739) record for the month.

Selected in the fourth round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of Florida State University, Dinges, 21, earned Carolina League Player of the Week for April 21-27 after batting .471 (8-for-17) with 1 HR and 7 RBI in 5 games.

Hardin, 23, went 2-0 with a 0.96 ERA (18.2ip, 2er) in 4 starts for Class-A Wisconsin in April. He recorded 20 strikeouts with just 4 walks and posted a 0.96 WHIP and a .212 opponent batting average. After tossing 7.0 scoreless innings (4h, 9k) in his first start in May, Hardin leads the Midwest League in ERA for the season at 0.70.

Hardin began the season with 15.2 consecutive scoreless innings before allowing his lone runs of the month in the second inning of his start on April 26 at Cedar Rapids.

Selected in the 12th round of the 2024 First-Year Player Draft out of Mississippi State University, Hardin made his professional debut with Class-A Carolina last season with 2 regular-season appearances (1 start) before starting Game 2 of the Carolina League Division Series for the Mudcats.
