Bars & Recreation Teams Up with True Echo VR to Launch Group Virtual Reality Experiences at Amped

Milwaukee, WI (April 10, 2025) – Following the announcement of its first-of-its-kind Slingshot Bar in West Allis, Bars & Recreation is back with exciting news: the company will add group virtual reality experiences to its popular Amped venue in Milwaukee’s Brewery District beginning Thursday, April 17, 2025.

Bars & Recreation inked a deal with local entertainment provider True Echo VR to offer “immersive adventure and team building experiences” in a virtual arena. This addition complements Amped’s existing offerings, which include private suite karaoke, creative meeting spaces, and Game Show MKE; further cementing the venue’s status as a premier entertainment destination in Milwaukee.

The partnership marks the first permanent venue for True Echo VR. Group VR experiences with True Echo VR can include working with colleagues to churn out burgers in a virtual restaurant, exploring futuristic worlds with family, or dodging zombies with friends. The arena for the activities requires ample space, specific lighting, and just the right “vibe,” which True Echo VR identified through its experience providing premier VR teambuilding throughout southeastern Wisconsin. Amped had everything it was looking for in a long-term home.
