WBB Falls to Seton Hall Wednesday Night, 58-52
Golden Eagles travel to Providence on Wednesday, Jan. 22
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s basketball team fell 58-52 to Seton Hall Wednesday night at the Al McGuire Center.
The Golden Eagles (11-6, 3-3 BIG EAST) were led by Lee Volker, who had 13 points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals. Jaidynn Mason added 11 points, four rebounds and four assists.
A 7-0 run in the middle of the third quarter cut the deficit to single digits and MU went into the fourth quarter down seven. A Lee Volker three at the 2:33 mark of the fourth quarter made it a three-point game, 55-52, but the Pirates held the Golden Eagles scoreless the rest of the way.
Seton Hall (13-4, 5-1 BIG EAST) were led by Jada Eads, who had 20 points and three steals.
NOTABLES:
- Skylar Forbes returned to the starting lineup after missing last game due to injury.
- Fifth time this season Lee Volker has led the team in scoring.
