MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the signing of 29 international free agents on the first day of the 2025 international signing period, including 16 players from Venezuela, 10 from the Dominican Republic and one each from Colombia, Mexico and Nicaragua.

“We celebrate the efforts of many today in signing our newest class of Brewers,” said Director of International Scouting James Armstrong. “Each of these players has distinguished themselves not only for their baseball talent but also for their work ethic and devotion to their own development.

“I would also like to praise our scouting staff. Many years of hard work led to today, relentlessly covering and scouting an expansive player pool, ultimately leading to the identification of these 29 players.”

Included among the signees is Dominican outfielder Kenny Fenelon, who is ranked as the No. 32 overall prospect in the class by Baseball America and No. 36 by MLB Pipeline.

The Brewers also inked Dominican shortstop Cristopher Acosta, who is ranked No. 39 by Baseball America and No. 45 by MLB Pipeline. Additionally, Milwaukee signed Venezuelan outfielder Brailyn Antunez, who is ranked No. 42 by Baseball America and MLB Pipeline. Venezuelan catcher Isais Chavez, who signed today with the Brewers, is ranked No. 90 by Baseball America.

“It is a significant day for the players, parents, scouts and members of the front office,” said Director of International Player Evaluation Luis Pérez. “Throughout the year, we have worked to integrate these talented young players as Brewers. Our player development system will continue to support them to ensure they work toward fulfilling their dreams of reaching the majors.”

Outfielder Jackson Chourio, who in 2024 became the youngest player in MLB history (20 years, 185 days) to have a 20 HR/20 SB season, was signed by the Brewers on the first day of the 2021 international signing period. Infielder Jesús Made, who enters the 2025 season as the top prospect in the organization according to Baseball America, was also signed by Milwaukee on the first day of the 2024 international signing period.
