Joint statement from Alderwoman Marina Dimitrijevic and Alderman Scott Spiker
Yesterday, fliers were found in front of homes near Ohio Playfield, Zablocki Elementary School, and Morgandale Elementary School on Milwaukee’s south side containing racist and hateful language aimed at immigrants. The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating this divisive act intended to bully and threaten our families and neighbors, and they are working to hold those responsible accountable.

when the soon to be 47 president vilified immigrants in his campaign, he gave permission to every racist to also act and say the same things. so, it is not surprising to see incidents like the flyer. obviously, milwaukee is not a welcoming city. let us really think and then act on ways we can counteract the racism generated by the this person.
