Wisconsin Human HPAI Case Confirmed by CDC
The Wisconsin Department of Health Services has received test results from the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) from specimens collected from the presumptive positive human case of Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) A(H5), also known as bird flu, in Barron County. Results confirm HPAI A(H5), and the case will now be reported as a confirmed human case of HPAI A(H5).
