WBB Travels to Bowling Green Wednesday at 6 p.m. CT

Golden Eagles going for eighth win in a row

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women’s basketball team travels to Bowling Green on Wednesday, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m. CT at the Stroh Center.

SEVEN WINS IN A ROW
• Marquette has won seven in a row after dropping for the first two games of the season on the road.
• During the seven-game winning streak, the Golden Eagles have an average winning margin of 24.4 points per game.
• Skylar Forbes (17.0), Lee Volker (14.1) and Halle Vice (11.3) are all averaging  double-digit scoring in MU’s seven wins this season.
• Last streak of seven-wins-or-more came during the 2023-24 season when MU started 12-0 for the best start in program history.
• MU has had 14 seven game win streaks in in program history.

LEE ON BIG EAST WEEKLY HONOR ROLL FOR SECOND-STRAIGHT WEEK
• Senior guard Lee Volker earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for the second time in as many weeks.
• Volker had a career-high 21 points, six rebounds, three assists and a career-high seven steals against Milwaukee on Sunday, including 19 first half points.
• The Purcellville, Virginia native had the best shooting clip of her career, going 8-of-13 (61.5 percent) from the floor.
• It marks four-straight weeks MU has had a player on the conference weekly honor roll.

DEFENSE LEADS THE WAY FOR MU
• Marquette is first in the BIG EAST and 16th in the nation in field goal percentage defense (33.9 percent) and have held opponents to under 45 percent from the floor in all nine games this season.
• MU is 25th nationally holding opponents to 54.3 points per game.
• The Golden Eagles have held opponents to under 53 points four times this season and have held teams to 10-point-or-less in 11 quarters this season.

BLOCK PARTY
• Marquette is first in the BIG EAST and 10th in the nation at 5.9 blocks per game.
• Skylar Forbes is second in the BIG EAST and 38th nationally with 20 blocks on the season.
• The sophomore forward is second in the conference and 25th nationally at 2.2 blocks per game and had a career-high five blocks in the road win at Rutgers on Nov. 29, 2024.
