Story of Milwaukee: An Interactive Greenhouse Experience

Milwaukee, 17 October 2024 – The narrative of our city is often one of brokenness and disconnection; while that tells some of the story, it doesn’t tell the whole story. Hope Street, the greenhouse for people on 26th and Capitol, has told a different story for 25 years. We acknowledge the hard realities, celebrate the good, and all the growth in between.
You will see local artists’ creative take on their hope for Milwaukee, as well as be inspired by the organizations that are doing their part to restore hope in our city. There will be sensory elements, and even a collaborative art piece for all to participate in.
Come alone, with friends and family, as a business or church group; the Interactive Greenhouse Experience is designed for groups to tour together as a way to be invested in our city. Regardless of how you come, you will be impacted by stories and have an opportunity to connect and to reflect on your part in helping Milwaukee flourish. The event is at the Baird Center from 9am-4pm, tickets are $20 and can be bought online or at the door. Designed for a lunch break, people can walk through and experience it in 30 minutes to an hour.
