MILWAUKEE – On Tuesday, August 27, the Milwaukee Brewers along with Wauwatosa Mayor Dennis McBride and Brewers pitcher Bryan Hudson will unveil the “Field of Play” community mural promoting teamwork, togetherness, belonging and community. The mural, painted by local artist and Milwaukee native, Whitney Nettles, will be featured on the side of Little Village Play Café, a coffee shop and indoor play place located at 6505 W. North Ave in Wauwatosa. “Field of Play” is the second mural installed as part of the Milwaukee Brewers continued #BeyondTheDiamond community engagement efforts.

Following the unveiling of the mural, Hudson will join local children in a slime creation class and artist Nettles will add finishing touches to the mural.

In celebration of the “Field of Play” debut, the Little Village Play Café will be open for business. Kids are welcome to make baseball pennants that will be installed at American Family Field, create their own Topps trading card and enjoy games and fun planned for the day. Additionally, food vendors Joy Ice Cream Trike and Cocina Filipina Food Truck will be onsite.

Nettles, a Milwaukee native, is the owner of Wit And Co. where her graphic design and creative skills are exemplified. Nettles specializes in hand lettering and typography, branding, illustration and print materials.
