GLENDALE, Wis. (August 22, 2024) – Mallards Restaurant, a Midwest-based family-owned restaurant, is coming to BAYSHORE with a projected opening this winter. Mallards, a Southern kitchen serving up seafood, Cajun and American favorites will occupy the 9,313 square foot restaurant space and outdoor patio next to The Yard, the open-air community space in the heart of BAYSHORE.  The restaurant will be located at 5689 N. Bayshore Drive.

With four locations in Minnesota and one in New Richmond, Wisconsin, the BAYSHORE location will be first in southeastern Wisconsin. Mallards started in 2013 in a marina on the St. Croix River by owners David and Gail Suddath. Originally from Kansas City, they later relocated to Minnesota, but Southern hospitality remains at the heart of what they do and is reflected in the menu. Mallards blends a casual vibe with upscale food using fresh ingredients to craft southern comfort dishes.

“Our family has Wisconsin ties so having the opportunity to deepen those and expand our concept to other areas of the state was always our dream,” said David and Gail Suddath, Owners of Mallards Restaurant. “Community is important to us and we can’t wait to bring something new, and delicious to the North Shore.”

Mallards fan favorites include Lobster Rolls, Jambalaya, Surf & Turf, Blackened Fish Tacos and Pecan Crusted Walleye. Mallards will also carry a wine list, tap beer and craft cocktails, as well as delicious desserts like its famous Homemade Key Lime Pie.

“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Mallards to BAYSHORE and the surrounding North Shore,” said Mary Mokwa, senior general manager, BAYSHORE. “The menu is unique to the area and Mallards’ warm and welcoming ambiance is a great fit for the community.”
