“At Generac, we work closely with local organizations to make a meaningful impact and power possibilities in the communities where our employees live and work,” said Tami Garrison, senior director social responsibility at Generac. “We consider it an honor to work with non-profits like the Veterans Community Project to provide supported resources for those that have served our country.”

All money raised will benefit Veterans Community Project (VCP), a nationally recognized nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness. Founded by combat Veterans in Kansas City, Missouri, VCP provides transitional tiny home villages with critical support services that assist Veterans in resolving immediate crises and move towards permanent stability. Believing in the sacred promise of “leave no one behind,” VCP serves all Veterans, regardless of discharge status, length, or type of service.

The funds raised will help to cover the construction costs of a tiny home, which will provide shelter and care to local Veterans at the new Veteran’s Community Project. Located on the city’s northwest side, this new specialized village will feature 40 tiny homes and a Village Center with on-site, wraparound support services designed to equip Veterans experiencing homelessness with the tools needed to return to a stable, prosperous, independent life.
