Fromm Petfest Returns to the Lakefront this Summer with New Hours of Operation

Annual pet festival brings back fan-favorite activities and opens gates one hour early

MILWAUKEE (April 9, 2024) – Fromm Petfest, Wisconsin’s largest pet festival, is returning to Henry Maier Festival Park for its 11th Annual event on September 21, 2024. The festival, which welcomed record numbers of pets and people in 2023, will change its hours of operation to 9 AM to 5 PM, opening the grounds one hour earlier to accommodate early rising pups eager to play.

Now celebrating 11 years, Petfest attendees can count on the return of fan-favorite attractions they know and love including dock diving, lure and agility courses, the Doggie Dash speed trial, open play at the Petfest Dog Park, and Adoption Avenue which hosts dozens of animal-related non-profits. New for this year, Petfest will also feature an expanded Splash Zone and a new, small-dog only Lure Course. Human attendees can expect live entertainment throughout the day, shopping, games, activities, and plenty of festival food and drink.

“It’s an honor to be part of an annual tradition for so many pet lovers here in Wisconsin,” said Bryan Nieman, Brand Director for Fromm Family Foods representing the fifth generation of his family business. “After ten years we still have a great passion for delivering the best festival experience to our fans. Each year we have dozens of eager fans waiting at the gates for the festival to start. Pet parents are all too familiar with the early hours their pets may keep and opening the festival one hour early will hopefully better accommodate those eager to start their day of play a bit sooner.”

Fromm Petfest remains a free family event including free parking in part due to its community partners. This year, Fromm Petfest is proud to announce the addition of Yutka Fence as the event’s title sponsor. The family-owned provider of residential fencing solutions leads a roster of community business partners that help keep Petfest free to the community while still donating proceeds from activity ticket sales to animal-related non-profits nominated by Petfest sponsors as part of the Petfest Pals program give-back initiative.

Dogs and cats of all kinds are welcome to Fromm Petfest and are required to be on leash, up to date on vaccinations, and have a waiver signed which will be made available online as well as at each entrance the day of the event.

Fromm Petfest is currently accepting exhibitor applications for Marketplace and Adoption Avenue exhibitors. For businesses looking to connect with thousands of pet lovers and families at a higher level, programming and event sponsorship opportunities are still available.
