Gov. Evers Appoints Brenda Sue Mayr as Langlade County Register of Deeds
Gov. Tony Evers today announced his appointment of Brenda Sue Mayr to serve as Langlade County Register of Deeds. The appointment fills a vacancy created by the resignation of Chet Haatvedt, effective Jan. 31, 2024. Mayr will serve for the remainder of the unexpired term ending on Jan. 5, 2025.
“With notable experience serving the people of Langlade County, Brenda Sue Mayr is well-prepared to take on the role of register of deeds,” said Gov. Evers. “I am confident she will lead the office well and continue to have a positive impact on the people of Langlade County.”
Mayr has been a resident of Antigo for over 22 years and currently serves as register in probate, probate registrar, probate court commissioner, and clerk of juvenile court for Langlade County.
“I am extremely honored to accept the appointment of Langlade County Register of Deeds by Gov. Evers,” said Mayr. “I truly appreciate his confidence in me and look forward to serving the citizens of Langlade County in this capacity. I have had the privilege of serving as the Langlade County register in probate for several years and look forward to providing continued exceptional public service in this new role. I would like to thank my family, friends, and colleagues within Langlade County for their continued support and encouragement.”
