Shameful and idiotic remarks deserve to be denounced

As a local elected official, I was disgusted to see a former (New York) local elected official’s recent comments about my President of the United States (questioning the President’s love of country). His comments were inappropriate and do not reflect the views of millions of Americans who are privileged to serve the people of this country.
We must not allow this type of rhetoric to tarnish those who continue to fight, who have died, and sacrificed of themselves to make this the great nation that it is, whether you are a Democrat or a Republican.
