Suspects Criminally Charged in Connection to Shots Fired at Officers Incident
MILWAUKEE, WI – On October 10, 2023, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued criminal charges against Antwan L. Davis and Rashad M. Gooden in connection to firing shots at Milwaukee Police officers during a vehicle pursuit. The incident occurred on Friday, October 6, 2023, at approximately 2:39 a.m., on the 3900 block of N. 23rd Street. An officer was struck by debris from the gunfire; however, he did not require medical attention.
Davis was charged with three counts of Attempt First Degree Intentional Homicide- Party to a Crime, one count of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety- Party to a Crime, two counts of Possession of a Firearm by a Felon and one count of Possession with Intent to Deliver Cocaine (>1-5g). If convicted, he could face up to 245 years in prison and fined up to $100,000.
Gooden was charged with three counts of Attempt First Degree Intentional Homicide- Party to a Crime, one count of First Degree Recklessly Endangering Safety- Party to a Crime and one count of Flee or Elude an Officer. If convicted, he could face up to 216 years in prison and fined up to $35,000.
