This is not your mother’s gala. Join the HYFIN Nation to kick off Bronzeville Week and experience an evening full of inspiration, appreciation, and celebration. Through the lens of Afrofuturism’s historic and poignant engagement with African American history and popular culture, this event will have a menu full of flavor curated in collaboration with a renowned local Black chef. The program will include a fashion show from nationally recognized Edessa Fashion School and an awards ceremony that will celebrate local innovators and trailblazers. Following will be a high-energy performance from nationally recognized artists, and capping off the evening will be a dance party. This gala, the first of its kind, will be a night to remember, serving as a bridge to bring community and culture together.
