You’re invited to World Water Day, a special event to celebrate partnerships in Latin America and to raise awareness about the importance of clean water. World Water Day is a key fundraising event for Global Partners: Running Waters (GPRW), an affiliated ministry of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, with proceeds benefitting water projects that will impact communities in Latin America. The event offers Latin American cuisine, live music, a silent auction, a wine pull, photo booth and a Latin American marketplace featuring handcrafted goods. Cash bar available. Suggested attire: Business casual.
Please purchase tickets by February 22.
World Water Day will be held in the Alumnae Dining Room, Bergstrom Hall, on the Mount Mary University campus.
The mission of Global Partners: Running Waters is to build and maintain intercultural relationships through collaborative partnerships benefitting rural and urban communities in Latin America. GPRW does this by:
• Working with community members and our partners to initiate and complete water, food, education and health projects.
• Sharing financial, cultural and spiritual resources.
• Empowering Latin American women to use their gifts to improve their lives and the lives of their families.
• Fostering dialogue about the importance of helping all people meet their basic needs.
• Providing opportunities to experience the realities faced by those in Latin America.
