MILWAUKEE – September 12, 2022 – Associated Bank, the largest Wisconsin-based bank, in partnership with F Street Hospitality, a Milwaukee-based hospitality company operating a unique collection of inspired dining, special events, weddings, and catering, unveiled today the culinary and bar experiences expected at the Associated Bank River Center (“River Center”). Located in downtown Milwaukee, the River Center, which has been undergoing renovations since March of 2016, will feature a new riverfront bar, a collective marketplace of quick-service dining options, as well as a new coffee shop.

“We are ecstatic to partner with F Street Hospitality to launch these unique dining experiences at the River Center, a significant milestone in the redevelopment of the Associated Bank River Center complex,” said David Knight, senior vice president and director of real estate, Associated Bank. “Not only are we offering new options for workers returning to the office, but our work at the River Center is also helping to revitalize use of a key piece of Milwaukee’s beautiful riverfront. We hope our guests – whether they be workers, residents or travelers visiting our great city – find moments of joy and excitement imbibing and dining at the new River Center in the epicenter of this great city.”

Drink & Dine at the River Center

At the River Center, guests will find the following food and beverage offerings:

“Vault” Bar

A truly one-of-a-kind Milwaukee experience, Vault will feature floor-to-ceiling views of the Milwaukee River, as well as offer options for outdoor seating overlooking the river. Guests will be able to enjoy fresh handcrafted cocktails, as well as an upscale wine list.

At the Market:

  • Toro Tacos & Bowls: An Asian-Latin inspired taqueria with a focus on tacos and bowls with healthy fresh ingredients, Toro Tacos & Bowls will feature menu items, such as elote ramen bowls; cauliflower tacos with avocado, grilled corn, gochujang, pickled onions and pepitas; as well as Korean pork tacos with hoisin, cilantro lime crema, sesame and kimchi slaw.
  • On Rye: Providing a quick stop for hand-made sandwiches and soups, On Rye specializes in carved-to-order pastrami and corn beef, piled high with fresh baked breads, spreads and sauces.

KnockBox Coffee & Market

For a drink or food on the go, KnockBox will provide signature coffee and market items for ease and flexibility, including Stone Creek Coffee, local pastries and breakfast sandwiches.

Toro Tacos & Bowls Pop-Up Now Open

After introducing its tacos at Summerfest 2022 to public acclaim, Toro Tacos & Bowls is operating a pop-up taco stand in the River Center’s atrium on Tuesdays and Wednesdays over the lunch hour. The stand is open between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

The full slate of River Center dining options is targeted to open in Spring 2023.

Culinary & Design Team

Working alongside Associated Bank, F Street Hospitality, which operates recognizable dining establishments in Milwaukee, including Pizza Man, Noble Catering and Events and Timmers Resort, designed the concepts and menus and will be overseeing operations for the new restaurants and bar at the River Center. In addition, F Street Hospitality will offer special events and catering for businesses within the complex.

“F Street Hospitality is thrilled to work alongside Associated Bank to bring innovative, fresh food options to Milwaukee,” said Executive Chef Adam Miller. “Between these four new concepts, there will be something for everyone and every occasion.”

Miller, who will be managing operations for F Street Hospitality at the River Center, joined the company in 2021. Prior, he spent six years as the executive chef at American Family Field (formerly Miller Park) and served as the corporate chef at Door County Brewing and Hacienda Brewing Company.

The Associated Bank River Center

The River Center, which houses The Pabst Theater, Saint Kate – The Arts Hotel, as well as a diverse mix of other businesses, encapsulates the best of Milwaukee and its historic roots, bringing together the arts, finance, business, cuisine and tourism under one roof. In addition to its varied dining options, the newly renovated office tower also features a 100+ person state-of-the-art conference facility, a tech lounge, health club, and more. The development is nearly 80% occupied to date.

As part of its renovations to the building, Associated Bank opened the Center for Professional Development in partnership with ALIVE Milwaukee in early 2022. The center offers a dedicated space to foster advancement toward a diverse and inclusive Milwaukee community, and houses and supports several leading nonprofit organizations and community initiatives. Associated Bank also announced its official partnership to become the official bank of the Pabst Theater Group, parent company to The Pabst Theater, in April 2022.

“Associated Bank has always been proud to be the ‘hometown’ bank, and we are present and committed to serving our customers’ communities. Never has that been more evident than in our work at the Associated Bank River Center, which represents an investment in Milwaukee and the future of the city,” added Knight.
