“No immigrant should be punished for getting health, housing, and food aid they are eligible for when tough times hit. I am grateful that the Biden Administration is restoring the longstanding ‘public-charge’ policy and formally rejecting changes put forward by the Trump Administration that were harmful.
“I applaud President Biden for continuing to deliver on his promise to create fair and compassionate immigration policies and to build an immigration system that reflects America’s values.”
