Local Milwaukeean Jamison “Jaymo” Montgomery Host 3rd Cream City Basketball Skills Saturday, June 11th, Ages 10 – 13

The Cream City Basketball Skills Camp will be held on Saturday, June 11th at Milwaukee Lutheran High School, 9700 West Grantosa Drive. Registration is 9:00 a.m., camp is 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The cost to attend is $25 per child and includes camp shirt, lunch, and camp skills award. The two previous camps which were held in 2015 and 2019 were funded by founder Jamison Montgomery.

Currently Montgomery is an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach at the University of Hawaii Hilo. He graduated from Milwaukee’s Rufus King High School where he played on the basketball team. Following  graduation, he attended Benedictine University (Chicago) where the team won 3 out 4 conferences and made a NCAA tournament appearance. He served as associate head coach at Menlo College for four seasons where he was selected for the “30 Under 30” Club presented to the top assistant coaches by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

He stated, “I started the Coach Jaymo’s Cream City Skills Basketball Camp because I wanted to provide our youth a positive environment, focusing on sports. I want to let them know what it takes to be a college athlete as so many neighborhood boys and girls aspire to do. I feel that as a basketball coach from Milwaukee it is my duty to help our youth. I want to give them hope and let them know that with the right attitude they can accomplish anything.”

Montgomery looks forward to inspiring future college athletes. He is hopeful that with donations he can provide more young people the opportunity to enhance their skills and encourage them to aspire to play college basketball. Donations can be sent to:
